There is a Trucker Bill of Rights?

Did you know that there is a Trucker Bill of Rights? Well, I had no clue either until I decide to do some research on it. Here is what I found out. Truckers have a right to safety in the workplace. Truckers have a right to equal treatment under the law. Truckers have freedom from self-incrimination and unreasonable search. Truckers have the right to self defense. Constitutional rights are inviolable. Sounds pretty much like basic human rights to me. But, this bill of rights was not implemented until 20 years ago. It came about to protect truckers from being used by the other people.
